Unearthing unexpected artistry

An advertising veteran who has directed more than 100 TV commercials, Stanley Wong is also known as artist, anothermountainman, and has won considerable acclaim for his trademark red, white and blue tri-colour canvases.

Affectionately known as 'Hong Kong Burberry', inexpensive red, white and blue nylon bags have been part and parcel of the Territory's life for decades. When Wong saw the ridiculously vast prices such bags were commanding in a London design store window it changed his life forever. In creating his instantly identifiable redwhiteblue (here/there/everywhere) collection, Wong has pinpointed an area of local culture untouched by other local designers. In deconstructing, reassembling and recombining this most humble and ubiquitous of materials, Wong has done way more than just encourage his fellow Hongkongers to totally reappraise what they see around them. He has inspired them to place a much higher value on the qualities on which the Territory itself is built.

又名又一山人。1960年出生於香港。
1980年毕业於香港工商师範学院设计应用系。
五年平面设计工作後,投身广告创作行列。
先後於现代(香港)广告公司,精英(香港)广告公司及智威汤逊(香港)广告公司任职。
1996年移居至新加坡并加入英国 bartle bogle hegarty (亚洲)广告公司为亚洲创作总监,
为历来首位中国籍华人受聘海外此职位。
1999年回港,出任 tbwa (香港) 广告公司之行政总裁及行政创作总监。
至2000年,15年之广告生涯後,加入先涛数码出任创作总裁及导演。
2002年7月,成立叁二一声画製作有限公司。
2007年1月,成立八万四仟沟通事务所。
2004年,被邀成为agi(国际平面设计联盟)会员。
过去十多年间,黄氏之设计、摄影及广告作品屡获香港、
亚洲及国际奖项四百多项。
过去十年间,黄氏对设计教育视为其下半生重要工作一环,
继续穿梭客席各大本地及海外院校。
除设计及广告创作外,黄氏亦对摄影及艺术十分热衷及积极,
尤专注社会状况之题材。作品多次於香港、海外展出
及获多间国际美术馆、艺术馆永久收藏。
过去数年间,其'红白蓝'系列艺术作品得到香港本地及国际关注。
2005年,代表香港参加威尼斯艺术双年展展出。
