Born in Shanghai; moved to Hong Kong in 1984. Stayed in Tokyo for six years from 1999-2004. Graduated from School of Design in Visual Communication (Hons), Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. Suen obtained his MA from Musashino Art University, Tokyo, Japan in 2003. His thesis titled "The Body of Book—writing and experiments on the physical structure of book" . Appointed General Manager for creative unit M LAB. in McCann Erickson Advertising from 2008 to 2009. Suen officially established a design studio BESPOKE ASSOCIATES in summer 2009. He is now living and working in Shanghai.

Suen is regarded as one of the most influential designers in China. He has been awarded Silver (1996), Bronze (1996, 2005) and Excellent Awards (1996-2005) in Hong Kong Designers Association. In 2005, Suen won several important awards internationally including Gold Award and Judge’s Award in Hong Kong Designers Association 2007, TDC Award, Tokyo Type Directors Club both in 2006 and 2009.

1975年出生于上海，1984年移居香港，1997年毕业于香港理工大学设计学院，2000年获得东京武藏野美术大学大学院视觉传达系硕士学位，论文为《书的身体The Body of Book -- writing and experiments on the physical structure of book》。东京武藏野美术大学大学院视觉传达系博士中退。2008至2009年为上海麦肯光明广告有限公司M LAB.总经理。2009年夏天正式成立设计工作室BESPOKE ASSOCIATES，现定居上海。

曾获温莎牛顿创作奖，香港设计师协会金奖、银奖、铜奖及优异奖以及中岛英树评委奖，CANON 国际数码创作大奖铜奖，并获东京2006及2009 Tokyo Type Directors TDC大奖等。
