A touch of added value at 35,000 feet
Having worked with both Habitat and Philips, Milk Design’s Lee Chi-wing creates award-winning concepts that give leading global lifestyle brands such as Cathay Pacific a significant edge in today’s fiercely competitive markets.
Transforming discarded, seemingly useless objects that reflect Asia’s heritage, form and philosophy into new and useful items has always been a passion for Lee. It’s a value that clearly shines through in his major redesign of Cathay Pacific’s Economy Class tableware. Inspired by rice, each item in this series reflects the patient hard work that leads up to every meal in a dynamic form that today’s sophisticated trans-global traveler cam easily identify with. Lee’s ingenious reinvention of the past is equally evident in his chairs and origami-inspired paper lamp. Simple, but hugely stylish and efficient, the lamp not only rewards owners with outstanding looks and practicality but also reduces their monthly power bills and environmental impact.
