Humble, honest and very resilient, bamboo typifies Chinese people's best characteristics better than any other design or construction material. In masterminding his ECCO 9707 series, Eric Chan wanted a new generation of consumers to experience this most robust and Asian of materials in a whole new light. Working closely with global design guru, Herman Miller, Chan subsequently created a bamboo chair that perfectly straddled the tricky line between eye-catching and extremely ergonomic. Assembled via state-of-the-art technologies in China's traditional Anji manufacturing hub, ECCO 9707 represents the optimal balance of not only old and new, but also form and function. Lo's meticulous attention to detail is equally evident in the temperature-adjustable and flicker-free cold-cathode fluorescent Ribbon Lamp he created for Top Brilliant Technologies.
