Illuminating architectural insights

Hong Kong-born and London-based lighting designer, Arnold Chan of Isometrix has contributed illuminating insights to such globally renowned landmarks as Madrid's Hotel Puerta America and Minneapolis's Walker Art Centre.

When French architectural legend Le Corbusier described building design as being "the correct and masterly play of masses brought together in light", he inspired followers across countless fields. Maximizing light's full potential as a creative tool, Chan remains among the foremost of Le Corbusier's disciples. Distinguished by their uniquely architectural approach, Chan's lighting designs are visualized across three dimensions, creating a hierarchy of dazzling effects that enhance the spatial flow of buildings and their interiors. In addition to Sir Norman Foster, the many architectural and design giants who have eagerly collaborated with Chan include Tadao Ando (Morimoto New York) and Yabu Pushelberg (IFC2 Hong Kong). As Isometrix' guiding light, Chan continues to oversee every aspect of projects from commission to completion.
